This period property in Goudhurst, Kent, dates back over 300 years and is full of character .
Over the years, extensions have been added giving this building even more interest.
The hall, staircase and landing that we have been working on needed the woodchip stripped off. The walls under the woodchip were not in good order with areas of plaster ‘patched’ over the years. The walls were prepared ready to cross line with Wallrock paper, then lined with 1200 grade lining paper.
The walls have been decorated in Farrow and Ball’s ‘Shaded White’, ceilings in ‘Pointing’. The woodwork has been painted with an eggshell paint to give a soft finish. This is also in Farrow and Ball’s ‘Pointing’.
